Mileage deduction calculator
See what your business miles are worth at the IRS standard mileage rate. When the rate changes partway through a year, as it did on July 1, 2026, enter the miles for each part of the year so every mile gets the right rate. No signup needed.
An estimate, not tax advice. This calculator uses the IRS standard mileage
rate and counts business miles only. Driving between home and a regular place of work is
commuting and does not count, and neither do personal trips. If you deduct actual vehicle
costs (gas, insurance, repairs and depreciation) instead, this figure does not apply. Keep a
log with the date, miles, destination and business purpose of each drive, and confirm your
numbers with a tax professional.
Log each drive once, at the right rate
In Whittle a drive is an expense like any other: enter the date and the miles and it is valued at the IRS rate in force that day, so a mid-year rate change takes care of itself.
